David Moore | Lung Cancer Survivor

A Celebration of Life and Hope

“As manager of radiology at UAMS, I volunteered to test a new MRI machine we installed in 2011. To my surprise, that test revealed an early-stage lung cancer. Dr. Steliga operated, and I’ve been cancer free ever since.

Having cancer can’t help but change your perspective on life. When you’re on the one on the gurney, you’re not a number or a disease. You’re a person. Your whole world changes when you get that diagnosis. As health care providers, we have to remember that fact and always put our patients’ needs first.”
