Ken Partain | Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Survivor

Celebrating Life & Hope

“About 14 years ago, my leg started swelling. I didn’t pay much attention to it, but my wife was concerned. She called my long-time friend Kent Westbrook at UAMS. He set me up for a battery of tests, and ultimately I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

While I was undergoing treatment, there was a time when I wondered if I would be around to see my grandsons grow up and play baseball. Now they’re teenagers, and I always try to find time for their games. The UAMS Cancer Institute has given me 14 years of good quality life. I couldn’t have asked for more.”
