Appointments for New Patients
We understand the worry and anxiety that comes with a cancer diagnosis. That’s one reason why we work to make the appointment scheduling process at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute as easy and efficient as possible.
If you are a new patient and need an appointment, please call 501-296-1200.
New patients requesting an appointment in the Gynecology Cancer Clinic should call 501-296-1099.
Your call will be answered by a professional appointment scheduler. The scheduler will ask for some specific information needed in order to schedule your appointment.
The information you will need to provide includes:
Your diagnosis
Your primary care physician
Your insurance information
Personal information, including your date of birth, social security number, address, phone number, etc.
You may request a specific physician, or a registered nurse will review your information and select the best physician to meet your needs. We will need to receive a copy of your medical records by fax to ensure you are being scheduled with the appropriate physician.
If you were not diagnosed at UAMS, we will need to review your pathology slides prior to your appointment. You may also be asked to bring copies of any scans done at facilities other than UAMS to the appointment.
