The mission of the UAMS Biomedical Informatics Shared Resource is to provide UAMS investigators with access to the latest Informatics methods and techniques, provide infrastructure for cancer clinical trials, and high performance computing resources for advanced data analytics.  Fred Prior, Ph.D. serves as the scientific director.

The Biomedical Informatics Shared Resource uses state-of-the-art computational analysis techniques to generate high-quality data with an efficient turn-around time and an affordable cost.  A wide range of services is offered, including: clinical trial support, bioinformatics and clinical research informatics tools and consultative support and access to high performance computing resources.

We strive to provide the best service possible to our research community and encourage all investigators interested in incorporating informatics and big data analytics into their projects to contact us.  Consultation on study design, necessary informatics support and advanced analytic techniques is offered and highly recommended before initiation of projects.  Research can also be performed on a collaborative basis with the Biomedical Informatics Shared Resource staff.
