Jonnie Westbrook | Cancer Institute Volunteer

Jonnie Westbrook, Cancer Institute volunteer

“Every time I’m at Cancer Institute, I hear or see something that moves my heart. Being a volunteer truly is a life-changing experience.

I had the pleasure of being here the very first time a patient tossed a token into the Seed of Hope. When a cancer patient gets good news, it’s celebration time! It’s important for us to acknowledge this special time in the lives of our patients, and they need an opportunity to share this experience with others.

When you find out you’re in remission, you need to tell people. It’s a new beginning!”
