Michael Gregor | Tonsil Cancer Survivor

“When I found out I had cancer, I decided I wasn’t going to let it change the kind of person that I am. I’ve always been kind of a clown, and I didn’t let cancer change that. You can’t let it take away your sense of humor.

I was diagnosed with cancer of the tonsils six years ago. I had surgery and radiation, and I am now cancer free.

I know a lot of people who are going through cancer and who have lost the battle. Just to be able to stand here and talk about it is an honor.

I tell people that if I hadn’t come to the Cancer Institute, I think that my chances of being here today would have been a lot less.”
