Allan Maxwell | Squamous Cell Carcinoma Survivor

Allan Maxwell Squamous cell carcinoma survivor Ward, Ark.
“In 2006, I was an over-the-road driver for a trucking company. I had a nagging sore throat, and when I went in for my physical, I mentioned it.

My primary care doctor discovered the cancer and referred me to another doctor who wanted to do surgery. Then I came to Dr. Brendan Stack who said that he respectfully disagreed with the surgery recommendation. Dr. Stack said that I would do well with chemo and radiation, so that’s what I did.

Today I was certified cancer free.

When you’re diagnosed with cancer you have to keep the faith, believe in yourself and believe in the people at UAMS. The best people are there to help you. I want to thank all of them.”
