Charles Bell | Throat Cancer Survivor

Charles Bell survives Throat Cancer
“I had a sore throat and earache for about two months before going to the doctor. The ENT that I saw immediately knew that something was seriously wrong. He followed me out the door insisting that I have a biopsy immediately.

I was diagnosed with throat cancer in the side of my neck and the base of my tongue. Everyone we talked to said that we needed to come to UAMS for treatment. We arrived on Dec. 8, 2006, and I had radiation, chemo and a neck resection.

Today was my five-year check-up. I’ve just been waiting to reach this milestone. My treatment here was wonderful. We tell everyone we know to come to UAMS.”
