Sherry Tuminello | Breast cancer and cancer of the mammary lymph node survivor

“Participating in the Seed of Hope gave me closure.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 15 years ago. Dr. Klimberg was my surgeon. She is a brilliant doctor, and I never left her office without a sense of hope and a dose of humor. She was always there for me.

Then, in 2006, I noticed a raised spot on my chest and was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic cancer located in the internal mammary lymph node. I came back to UAMS where I had a team of doctors that included Dr. Klimberg and Dr. Makhoul.

I underwent aggressive radiation and hormone therapy, and I am alive today because of what they did. I never felt alone at UAMS. All of the doctors are working together to save lives.

I am grateful for every day! Never take anything for granted. Don’t give up, and have faith.”
