Trezy Bittle | Squamous Cell Carcinoma Survivor

“Because the type of cancer I had changed my appearance, some people didn’t know how to act or what to say. But that’s OK.

You have to remember that some people may react negatively, but don’t let that affect you. Keep your spirits up and be thankful.

Cancer reprioritized my life in an instant. It was no longer about what I wanted to do, it was about what I had to do to get through and survive.

I was lucky to have people around me who cared. My boss, Robin, worked with me through the whole process. She always told me to take care of myself and not to worry about work. She allowed me to come into work late and change my hours to accommodate my treatments. I am very thankful for her support.

I’m not really sure what I will look forward to the most because I’m still in shock knowing that this journey through treatment is over. I’m so very happy.”
