Debra Jones | B-cell Lymphoma and Brain Cancer

“I was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma in December 2012 with 2 brain tumors. This was followed by surgery with UAMS neurosurgeon Dr. John Day, radiation treatments at the UAMS Radiation Oncology Center and follow-up treatments with neuro-oncologist Dr. Shirley Ong.

As of August 2014, I am cancer free. That’s when I participated in the Seed of Hope ceremony.

I have nothing but praise for the care I was given and shown by all the staff at UAMS and the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. I constantly tell others how comfortable and safe I feel in the good hands of the doctors who helped me then and now on follow-up treatments.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t also give thanks to neurosurgeon Dr. Mark Linskey, who performed the Gamma-Knife radiosurgery when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor previously in 2001. He also referred me to UAMS’ Dr. John Day. Thanks to everyone.”
