Alice Martin | Ovarian Cancer Survivor

“I have the BRCA 1 gene, which puts me at a high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. I was diagnosed with breast cancer about two years ago, and several relatives have also had it. I was having a prophylactic hysterectomy in July 2017 when they noticed a little spot. They didn’t think it was a problem until they did the pathology and found out it was a very small ovarian cancer.

I had chemo and tolerated it very well. The nurses and office staff in the infusion clinic were all very nice, and my experience with Dr. Zorn has been good. I had another surgery a few weeks ago to be sure it hadn’t spread, and it had not. My CT scans were also clear, so that’s why I’m celebrating the Seed of Hope today.”
