We are dedicated to helping eliminate barriers to health care and helping individuals take charge of their health. Our team includes nurse navigators and community health workers that can help bridge the gap between cancer patients, wellness and financial resources in the community, and health care providers. A person does not need to receive care at UAMS to participate in the program.

What Navigators Can Do
- Help you learn more about preventing breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancer
- Provide information on when and where you can get screened for cancer
- Help individuals understand their cancer diagnosis and treatment options
- Assist you with talking to your doctor
- Work with you and your family to make the BEST decisions for you
- Connect you with resources for both your medical and non-medical needs including financial and social support for yourself, your caregivers, and your family
