Other Training and Education Opportunities

Partnership in Cancer Research (PCAR)

This NCI R25-funded program provides M1 students innovative hands-on cancer research training in a laboratory, clinical, or community setting. The program also features drug discovery, clinical simulations, and team learning experiences.

Compensation: $6,000

Cancer and Developing Entrepreneurial Technologies (CADET)

This NCI R25-funded program introduces biomedical PhD and postgraduate students to entrepreneurship and commercialization within the context of cancer technology-related intellectual property. Students will explore the cancer innovation ecosystem, intellectual property, regulatory pathways, funding strategies, and the ethical and translational challenges of bringing oncology innovations to a startup or a customer that could license the innovation.

Undergraduate Summer Research

This program was designed to provide students with experiences in cancer, cardiovascular, pulmonary, or hematologic research. Students will be provided with research, mentoring, and networking experiences; real-life surgical observations; and simulated cardiovascular demonstrations to increase interest in research careers.
