Losing your hair due to cancer treatment can be an overwhelming and emotional experience. At our Kristen J. Madsen Wig Boutique, trained staff and volunteers will help you select a wig and hats to make this transition a little easier. The boutique is open to all patients free of charge and is located in the Patient Support Pavilion on the first floor.
Any UAMS cancer patient who has lost her hair due to treatment may receive one free wig and three hats. Men’s hats are also available. No appointment is necessary.
Funding for the wig program is provided by the Cancer Institute Auxiliary.
