The Bioinformatics Core at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences works closely with the UAMS Genomics and Proteomics Cores to provide faculty support in experimental design, data analysis, and data visualization, and provides highly rigorous interpretation of large, complex data sets. Stephanie D. Byrum, Ph.D., serves as the scientific director. The Bioinformatics Shared Resource uses state-of-the-art computational analysis techniques to generate high-quality data with an efficient turn-around time and an affordable cost.
A wide range of services is offered, including both Genomics and Proteomics analyses. Genomics includes: 16S analysis, DNA methylation, RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and ATAC-seq. Proteomics includes: label-free intensity based quantification, tandem mass tags (TMT) multiplex quantification, phosphorylation modification analysis, and histone post-translational modification quantification.
