Register and join us on May 2nd at War Memorial Stadium for our 6th annual Be A Part of the Cure Walk hosted by UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. Come celebrate and honor survivors, their families, remember loved ones who battled cancer, and unite businesses and walkers throughout Arkansas in finding a cure. The Cure Walk has grown to over 1700 strong voices in the fight against cancer and raising funds for 7 cancer research grants in Arkansas.
Gates open at 6:30am with activities underway at 7am. A great array of vendors offer information, retail and there is complimentary light food on the field. Our Growing Hope area welcomes and honors survivors along with their registered guest to enjoy a special experience. Random drawings, awards and a Kids Discovery Zone filled with fun crafts, face painting and fitness, adds to the excitement. The formal Program begins at 8am with a photo of our survivors, along with speakers with the emcee and drumline leading us in the final countdown. Experience the musical and artistic talents of school students and local entertainers along the walking course or stay in the stadium to mingle with the vendors enjoying inspiring music. It is an event for all!!
