Overview

The UAMS Partners Card is an annual 10-day fundraiser held in Little Rock, Northwest Arkansas, and Conway to support the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, a leading cancer treatment and research center. The UAMS Partner’s Card is in its 22nd year.

How It Works

  • Purchase: Buy a Partners Card for $50.
  • Benefit: Receive a 20% discount on merchandise at participating stores during the event period.
  • Impact: 100% of proceeds go to the Cancer Institute Auxiliary for grant allocation.

Using the Partners Card

  • Presentation: Show a signed Partners Card at the time of purchase to receive the 20% discount.
  • Verification: Retailers must verify the cardholder’s signature and photo ID.
  • Restrictions:
    • The card is valid for the signee only (not transferable to groups or family members).
    • Lost cards cannot be replaced.
    • Discount does not apply to:
      • Sale items, layaway payments, gift certificates, or previously purchased merchandise.
      • Special orders (unless permitted by the store).
      • Other offers or promotions.
    • Merchandise cannot be discounted or held before October 25.
    • Additional restrictions may apply at individual stores.

Partners Card Etiquette

  • Present the card at the time of purchase.
  • Ensure the card is signed; it is non-transferable.
  • Respect store-specific restrictions.

Selling Partners Cards

  • Price: $50 per card (non-discountable, not tax-deductible).
  • Payment Methods:
    • Cash: Record the purchaser’s name, address, and zip code on the Sellers Sheet.
    • Checks: Payable to UAMS Auxiliary with “Partners Card” in the memo line.
    • Credit Cards: All major cards accepted. Complete the Credit Card Form, including the billing address and zip code.
  • Processing: Payments are handled by UAMS Auxiliary. Credit card charges appear as “UAMS Auxiliary” on statements and may take up to 30 days to process.
  • Seller’s Sheet: Complete for every purchase, including the purchaser’s details.

After Partners Card Week

Prepare the following for pickup the week after the event:

  • Brochure/counter card holder and money envelope.
  • Partners Card Collection Envelope containing:
    • Cash, checks, and credit card forms.
    • Unsold cards.
    • Completed Sellers Sheet.
