Yoga & Relaxation
Yoga therapy and relaxation techniques are elements of a well-rounded, all-natural approach to aid to the healing process.
We offer a free yoga and relaxation class for patients, caregivers and staff from 2 – 3 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday on the third floor in Room 3106.
A typical session involves deep breathing exercises, light stretching and a neck massage using relaxing essential oils.
Yoga has been shown to help reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and fatigue. It has also been shown to help improve the quality of sleep, overall mood and social, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Wesley Pilcher from Arkansas Yoga Collective is the class instructor. Mats are provided, and no experience is necessary.
